Ermak LLC was established in 2003 and is located on the territory of the reserved Ermak Island on the Danube River. At the initiative of the WWF, a project was launched in 2009 to restore the natural ecosystem of one of the islands of the Ukrainian Danube Delta, Yermakova.
At present, the flora of the island of Ermakov has 717 plant species, which is 74.15% of the flora of the Danube Reserve. This is the third line after the Jebrian Bay (909 species) and the secondary delta of the Kiliyskyi mouth of the Danube (862 species) both in the total number of species and in the number of rare species recorded in the Red Data Book of Ukraine. The last on the island there are 5 species: it is a white blossom summer, a Salvinia floating, a water walnut floating, an Aldrovanda bubbly and a marshy bog.
The activity of LLC "Ermak" takes place on 2200 hectares of natural pastures, which contain meat breeds of cattle and horses. At the moment, work is underway to form a breeding and production base for a farm of 700 cattle heads, which will allow ensuring the farms of the region where livestock breeding is planned, high-class breeding animals, eliminate dependence on imports and significantly increase beef production. Soon, it is planned to expand the total number of livestock to 2500-3000 heads.
Jermak LLC actively cooperates with the institute of breeding and genetics of animals, together with which the program for the creation of a breeding plant of southern meat breed is developed.
The Company's economy now has about 400 cattle heads and 450 horses. The main clients of LLC "Ermak" are farms, as well as meat-packing plants, which are interested in wholesale deliveries of quality raw materials.
